Ahhh, the 60’s! This was the decade for the young and their thoughts of liberty – greatly influenced by rock; they wanted fun and expressed it by what they wore. The designer Mary Quant was who revolutionized the 1960’s fashion with the creation of the mini skirt. The inspirations came from art movements, oriental cultures, and also geometric designs. The shape of the decade was structured in straight lines and colors that varied within pastel tones! Today, we are able to see brands like Louis Vuitton and Christopher Kane, which revisited the decade and inspired themselves – utilizing geometric prints and unusual cutouts. This way, they show how to enhance the silhouette even when speaking about the 60’s! Let’s see what the designers and the street styles teach us?!!
