Ah, the Over the Knee Boots! I am passionate about boots, now I am even more of a fan! This model that goes over the knees – a classic of the 80’s – is the new most desired item of winter and, even in the cold, it makes perfect pair with short length outfits. Between the months of January and March, I saw so many influencers wearing them on the streets, that no doubt this trend is here to stay!
With dresses such as the one Camila is wearing, these boots bring even more femininity and modernist to the look. Since they are so long, they keep the legs warm without having to wear tights.
On the runway the more fitted Over the Knees blend well with looser and delicate fabrics. BCBG Max Azria brought leather boots in earthy tones to compose a more clean and suave look with a nude knit overlay dress. On the contrary, Alberta Ferretti played with black and white. The romantic sheer dress with lace and embroidery details appears along with suede footwear creating an incredible mix of textures.
The model also deserves details! Christian Dior paired a mustard strapless dress with patent leather boots. With leather application on the suede, Isabel Marant made drawings along the shaft which finalizes with cutouts along the sides. Such a beauty!
The lustrous appearance made its way onto Balenciaga’s show. The composition of the all black looked incredible with this jacket that merges the matte collar to the satin finish of the body with these attend leather boots. Altuzarra was daring when creating these glamours boots! With tacks running through the shaft of these brown-brick tone boots, it completed the monochrome look.
Here at Fhits, Lalá Noleto and Silvia Braz also acquired the over the kneees during international fashion week. The preferred option for both was black suede but with minor detail differences. Lalá chose a model with gold metal rings to add a dose of rock’n’roll to her look, while Silvia came out on the streets of Milan with its clean version.
