A symbol of the 80’s, the gold made a slight appearance in 2012 and it’s boom on international runways started in 2015 with luxe and elegant pieces.
Creativity was not lacking when choosing the perfect fabric and style to wear this trend. A “wet” shine (Ralph Lauren), handmade details for a powerful touch glam (DVF Fall 2016, Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2014, and Pacco Rabanne Fall 2012), and as a more Victorian style (Valentino Haute Couture Fall 2015) were some of the references that gained prominence on the catwalks.
The nice thing is that the gold hues are easier to match with different skin tones than the silver hues.
