Chosen as one of the colors of the year by Pantone, in addition to the traditional denim shade, blue has never been so IN.
Classic and timeless, the color was the main focus in international collections, such as Versace’s Spring Haute Couture and Delpozo’s 2017 Resort collection, which brought a more playful side to the pieces.
Whether it’s in the Serenity tonality or striking Klein, the color gains prominence in fashionista’s wardrobes!
The blue mood made it’s appearance on the runways – I loved the ensemble composed by Emanuel Ungaro, for the 2017 Resort – and was soon spotted in street style. The color is ultra chic and can be carried forward in different occasions: Camila, for example, went for a more urban version while I opted for a micro velvet fabric with a sheer top and a matching bra in the same shade of blue.
Carrying the title of a plural shade of the season, the blue highlights femininity and goes really well with the Brazilian climate. Moreover, it reflects the tropical beauty of the country.
Even with a touch of metallic and glitter, the color works. It is worth risking more elaborate ensembles without fear!
One of the references that merits attention is the powerful long dress by Zuhair Murad. The piece brings a stunning blue background to a game of sparkles accompanied by a maxi slit! Absolutely gorgeous!
Illustrating winter pieces, such as maximized coats with ruffles and heavier fabrics, the color shows its status of sophistication interpreted by masion Dior in their Autumn 2015 Haute Couture.
Reaching the importance of a classic black, blue is an excellent choice for updating mild form and authentic outfits. Let yourself be inspired!
