I have been talking a lot about the breaking of rules in fashion, but I believe that some classics prevails on several occasions. For the nighttime events, especially in parties that ask for more sophisticated ensembles, dresses in light fabrics are the perfect choice. Regardless of color, detail and shape, long flowy are essential pieces for the fashionista wardrobe.
You can choose one that matches your personality. It can be pleated, with a neckline, a slit or embroidery. Here, Camila and I showed our selections with different proposals. Hers is from the Couture collection of Ralph & Russo, a truly dreamy model. It has volume and gatherings on top, while the skirt earns a stunning slit. As for mine, by Barbara Bela has aesthetics inspired in ancient Greece, with empire line below the bust and a flower application in one of the straps. A stylish option with a modern twist. The lavender color, which is featured on the summer 2018 runways, was elected to bring a hint of romanticism.
On the catwalks, contrasts of fabrics and colors is the choice of designers. With purple and yellow, Carolina Herrera explored a remarkable and super women attitude in a dress with asymmetry in the shoulders and sleeves – the puffy sleeve is very chic. With a pink base, Valentino played with textures of fabrics – satin, velvet and silk crepe.
Sparkles appear in various forms. Whether in satin, as in the long with ruffles and gathered Ralph&Russo dress, which also brings points of sheerness with a glam vibe – the yellow belt was the ideal color! As for Escada, the combination of transparencies on the neckline with shiny embroidery, gave a refinement to the light green model.
We can’t forget about florals! They can appear in prints, as in the power girly version of Badgley Mischka, with volume in the skirt but in a light fabric. There is also generous applications of rose buds in Marchesa, which brings a romantic aesthetic in a current and cool way.
Endless inspirations! There are proposals for various styles, between shapes and unusual combinations of details.
