It was just like this with the thai island of Koh Phi Phi presented to the world by Leonardo de Caprio in the movie “The Beach”. A paradise of dazzling blue shades that enchants with its beauty. Since the first time I was faced with this beach in the movie, I had to explore it. Finally the time came and the island started to appear in my travel map.

Montepulciano was presented to me in the New Moon scenes, the last film of the twilight saga. In a trip to Tuscany, I could not resist and put the italian medieval city in my roadmap. I arrived in the alleys of the walled historic center feeling intimate. Interesting that the day was rainy and the vibe sent me directly to the movie.

Schindler’s List was one of the most touching movies that I have ever seen in my life. It shows the horror experienced by Jews in Poland during the Nazi fury. When I was in Krakow, I went to the Podgórze District neighborhood and wept when visiting the old factory and remembering those shocking scenes. Today, the factory that helped to save more than 1,000 lives is a touching museum.

In Morocco, I felt I was constantly in a movie set. The country is so scenographic, but when I arrived in Ait Ben Haddou, was when the Gladiator scenes of Game of Thrones jumped in my retina. The village from the 11th century is literally a scene from a  film. Amazing!

To not extend myself, I will name just one more movie that I am sure you have already watched – “The Devil Wears Prada”. Do you remember the hot tempered Miranda Priestly, editorial director of the Runaway magazine, tormenting the life of her assistant in New York City? There is no way to watch the movie without hating the diabolical character lived by Meryl Streep and become enchanted with the excitement of the streets of Manhattan.

It is nice to travel through the big screens sometimes? What is the movie that has awakened in you the curiosity to visit somewhere?

XoXo and see you next week.
