The length of the pieces is always one of the biggest topics of the fashion seasons.  I see mini, midi and long versions on the streets and runways, with varied styles and materials. This is something different from the time seen a few decades ago. If the trend was short, the longs were stored in the closet until they returned to the spotlight. And, speaking of elongated formats, it their time to shine in modern and stylish ensembles. If in the past, midi skirts and shoes were reserved for special occasions, today there is a movement that leads to urban style pieces with a lot of naturalness and bossa. Here, Camila and I chose trends that play with volume and patterns. Camila bet on the skirt with fringe applications in a delicate and super feminine look. As for my selection, I chose two types of animal print (one for a shirt and one for a skirt) of neutral tones – while the background of one piece is light, the other is dark.

In the collections, some brands opted for patterns with striking element, mainly, to lengthen the silhouette. Max Mara presented a model covered by animal print in a chic encounter with the shirt that repeats the motif, but on a larger scale. As for Versace, the denim shirt divides space with a skirt in the iconic print created by Gianni Versace. Notice the maxi slit and embroidered lace “lining”. Impeccable work!

In North American soil, Zimmermann highlighted the style with fabric of slight transparency in a Victorian reference composition with a certain touch of modernity. The beloved label of fashionistas Johanna Ortiz, paraded a set that plays with movement and layers for Resort, with long tassel earrings.

With hems at the height of the ankle, the midi skirt remains as a favorite, always revamping. For Dior, director Maria Grazia Chiuri created a layered proposal perfect for wearing boyish shirts and creating that cool ensemble. As for Fendi, the wide pleats marked the red skirt worn with a nude blouse and silver boots. A bold and elegant mix in the right measure!

Are you ready to stroll around with your elongated skirts? And the concept goes from the medium lengths and goes to the options closer to the floor!
