Strong hit of the 2000s, the neon palette has come back with full force to the runways in aesthetics that makes any minimalist-neutral person want to wear. Imagine that, in addition to the lit colors, brands invested in textures, materials, shapes and combinations with other colors that give a certain modernity to the looks.

In Winter 2018, Miuccia Prada was responsible for bringing dresses, wide vests and jackets for her collection, with some interventions of transparencies, fringes and sparkles. It was a delusion for the fashionistas, who felt a real force of the trend. A season before, in Pre-fall, a series of brands brought citrus as a highlight in several proposals, among them Versus, Sies Marjan and Delpozo.

For summer 2019, the tonalities have shown that they remain on the rise from New York to Paris. And in street interpretations, a very interesting connection between improbable items. Turtle neck neon + a tailoring piece? Yes! Camila and I bet on the gray blazer with patterns typical of men’s tailoring in harmony with the lime green blouse. See how the top completely transformed the classic vibe of the blazer. The look was fresh, sleek and modern at the same time.

On the runways, the color palette stood out with playful textures and materials in monochromatic looks. The lime green appeared prominently in Prabal Gurung and Milly with detail of transparency in dresses and pants. I loved Milly’s overlay game, which brought the shape of a closed parka beneath a strapless “dress” with an asymmetrical bottom.

The color was repeated in Jeremy Scott’s Summer 2019 in a stronger tonality. Notice the ton-sur-ton of the patent leather trench over the lacy dress – it’s a very interesting way of contrasts for fans of all neon ensembles. However, the yellow was shown in a  vaporous model by Cushnie, which makes us want to wear it from summer to summer.

In the orange wing, a stylish vibe in the set composed by the halter top and skirt in the same texture by Tibi. Meanwhile, at the House of Holland, the tailoring has won interference in purple and pink, with stripes and super cool and sporty writing.
