Bangkok is a magical word. Just say this name and a smile is guaranteed. Difficult to find someone who does not surrender to the charms of the capital of Thailand with its sumptuous temples, tasty cuisine, flowers everywhere, vibrant colors and the smell of incense in the air. There is only one problem … the traffic is frenzied !! It has some shortcuts to escape the chaos: boats and surface trains. Just choose a nice hotel with good location to get everything perfect. Then write this tip down: Shangri-La Bangkok.

The hotel is super well located, which is a huge plus in Bangkok. It sits on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, where you can take a boat to escape the traffic of the Thai capital, steps away from the BTS surface train station and directly across from the brand-new Icon Siam luxury shopping mall. Only advantages.

Last month I was back in Bangkok and stayed for a few days at Shangri-La Bangkok, a perfect choice. A flawless, sumptuous five-star hotel, divided into two large wings and with easy access to the city’s main historical sites and shopping areas.

The Shangri-La group hotels have a few different floors called Horizon Club which are more exclusive, intimate and with several differentiated services like check in done directly in the apartment and access to the Horizon ClubLounge, where you have a business center and reserved area for breakfast and snacks throughout the day. Choose to stay in one of these apartments or suites and I guarantee that you will feel right at home. The spacious apartments have contemporary Thai-style décor, modern bathrooms and a stunning river view.

Another high point of the hotel is the Salathipde Thai restaurant. Fantastic! It has an incredible vibe and is one of the best restaurants in the city. Worth ordering the tilapia with cabbage leaves, the fried siri and the phad thai.

Ah! And don’t forget to schedule a great massage to end the relaxed day at Chi, The Spa. After all, Thai massage is famous all over the world.

Jot down this tips, you won’t regret it!

A wonderful week to all!

XoXo
