Some trends are go-tos! Winter leaves and summer comes, yet the military style always comes back revamped, with new proposals for textures, materials, details, and prints. Designers always bring good ideas for anyone who loves the idea of “coming out of the battle field” however they translate it into a fashion style.

Among the high points of the military fever is the moss green. The characteristic tone of the soldiers uniforms is a hit for super feminine items. Take a look at this gorgeous denim jacket that Camila Coelho chose. In addition to the color, it has an application of patches on the sleeves and above the pockets, which resembles the medals hanging on the aviators jackets. To leave the look a bit more powerful, Camila opted for a black miniskirt, a printed t-shirt and tie-up sandals. The final touch was classic aviator sunnies!

On the runways, the trend appeared with lady-like proposals to go to a super chic party/event. With short skirts,  Ralph Lauren created a total military green look with embroidered beading on the blouse and a short trench with traditional details of the trend, such as the the latch on sleeve.  However, Rebecca Minkoff  brought short length trench coats (which originally is a male form) matching a straight skirt rich in details and stitching – a strong feature of uniforms that required reinforced seams.

With more masculine shapes, designers such as Chanel and Marc Jacobs brought tops, pants, and loose shorts in a greenish-gray tone, leaving the accessories as a feminine touch to the look.

Balmain also presented an interesting contrast of genres using the trend. With heavier models, in the case of the jacket with masculine form, and excess of overlaps, the points that give feminine touch are concentrated on the skirt with straight length above the knee and the peplum waist. In a refined way, Elie Saab has bet on green in parts of tailoring, with tissues more refined. Notice how the jacket long made all the difference in the visual. I want one now!

On the streets, the models and it-girls have already adept to the trend. Cara Delevingne mixed the rocker reference of leather pants with fitted coats, another characteristic item of the military style. Olivia Palermo showed that the camo print continues with full force in casual looks and that it’s possible to create more delicate looks.
