Among the trends of the season, a big hit that is already that is already gaining spotlight in street style for a few seasons now is the monochrome look.

I have already mentioned a few times about this style on my blog and talked about the emphasis that this makes in an ensemble while being able to highlight the model of a piece.

In most cases, when I talk about a one color outfit, many people immediately associate the classic tones, such as white, black and navy blue.

However, choosing vivid colors such as orange, can be great options. The shade can bring lots of fashion information.

In 2014, the shade was elected as the color of the year by Pantone (with the title of Celosia Orange), and the nomination was so accurate that the orange continued its emphasis in other years, mainly in Spring and Summer.

The trend gained life in the hands of John Galliano and Chanel Couture, Jenny Packham (victorian and romantic) and Salvatore Ferragamo, inspired by the Riviera chic mood – a style that also inspired me when creating my look during this past Miami Swim Week.

The Paprika orange was the starting point and gained life on my shirt with lace details, by Lu Monteiro, the cropped pants (another trend alert of the season) and on my Cèline sandals. The golden yellow handbag by Catarina Mina brought the harmonic contrast to the look.

For Summer 2016, the color starred in sportswear deluxe, bomber jackets, shoes and in turtle neck blouses.

It was also Camila Coelho’s choice in her mini dress with details knit details on the collar, along with a tailored maxi vest in the same shade. An urban chic composition without leaving femininity aside!

Orange reflects a unique style and is able to bring different fashion looks. For it’s cheerful and strong spirit when embracing it in fashion, you not only demonstrate that you understand the fashion universe, but it also shows that you know how to transfer the runway highlights to your own style, without resulting in something grotesque.

It is, in my opinion, a color that promises continuous highlight in future runways!

It’s a definite must-have in my wardrobe! Haha
