The metallics are playing a huge role in street style this season in all types of pieces. Accessories, bags and shoes come to life and help create super stylish looks!
I am such a fan of the trend and the shine effects it gives. I have talked about possible combinations with silver pieces on my blog.
Tip: gold also emerges as trend alert this season, and will show up even more on display windows and runway shows. Keep an eye out!
Both daytime and night outfits, a good idea is to go for utilitarian pieces, such as sneakers.
Whether you want to evoke grunge looks (like Chanel Fall 2016, who opted for boots with details in eyelets) or to give life to the sportswear deluxe (Off White Resort 2017), shine was a hit for many brands in recent seasons.
Silver, gold and bronze are the stars of the show and gained different versions of sneakers as well as boots!
Metallic may cause certain fear to those who prefer a minimalist style, but some brands have explored the trend in more structured pieces (such as blazers) and more classic shoes, such as the pointed toe pumps – which, in turn, have gained fashion upgrade with lace details from the brand Narciso Rodriguez.
Fashion is, democratic, and brings many options and ways to wear what wee in on the runways. An example is seeing metallic shoes being transformed into an urban item as a translation of a trend that had great appearance in international fashion shows.
In addition to bringing fashion information, the metallic finish is responsible for bringing sophistication and escaping the traditional colors.
These shades in shoes are nothing new: this type of work was rescued from the 1970s, with the eyes of Designer André Courrèges.
To bring the trend to my look, I chose the Classic Yo sneakers, from the limited edition collection by Brazilian sports brand Olympikus.
The shoes brought color to my outfit in addition to being able to update the sporty chic mood that sets the tone for Brazil this season!
