Cast The First Stone to whoever did not surrender to the metallic trend. If the trend was already strong in accessories, purses and shoes, now is the time to wear gold, silver and etc from head to toe.

And the trend is not made only of “special nights”. With this breadth of sports items invading the nighttime wardrobe, the sparkles lighting up the streets and enriched velvets, it is time to dare. Camila invested in a perfect example for anyone who wants to slowly add metallic to their looks of the day. The secret is to go for black to share the space with silver, as in this asymmetric dress. The “wrap” detail around the waist gave a super feminine touch and the turtleneck top tied up the loose ends. As for the shoes, the black ankle boots and the Petite Malle purse give even more sophistication to the overall look.

On the runway, a million and one references of glam! From the luxurious sequin with varnished appearance by Proenza Schouler to all-silver byPrabal Gurung, à la Jerry Hall during the evenings at Studio 54.

As for Italian Emilio Pucci, he invested in two striking metallics. The orange was the protagonist of the one shoulder dress, while the white gold covered the long sleeves turtleneck maxi in a “too glam for school” vibe.

In the most recent presentation of Temperley London, foulard collars and bouffant sleeves shared space with pink sparkles and slits made in silk. The contrast gave even more femininity.

With a strong “true eighties” reference, Osman mixed ruffle layers on skirts, sash around the waist and red lipstick.  Ready for the dancefloor! Christian Siriano mixed shades of completely different pallets to create a sort of gradient between one color and another for a stylish result – particularly the wide sleeves.

The delicate details were left by Erdem. To break all the sparkle tones, flowers were embroidered in strategic points in the purple and dark blue dress. The cutouts that show a bit of skin also gives a modern touch to the look. And speaking of embroidery, Halpern presented a jumpsuit with one side of the leg which played with sheer and sequin. Another different way to bring the 80’s mood to current times.
