June 12 in sight. A special date, especially for those who are in love. It’s time to celebrate love. To celebrate Valentine’s Day (in Brazil) in style, nothing better than to think of a cool place to enjoy with your loved one. That’s why today’s tip goes to a super inspiring corner near Brazil, in our small neighbor Uruguay, the second smallest country in South America and where the charming hotel Fasano Las Piedras is located.
Uruguay is a popular destination in the summer. The beaches of Punta del Este gets packed from December to March. It’s even difficult to get a place to stay during that time. To give you an idea, the population of 120 thousand inhabitants rises to 1 million people in the summer. But let’s agree that romantic travel calls for more peace and exclusivity. So, the month of June, which is cold and low season, is perfect for love birds at the wonderful Fasano Las Piedras.
To start, the hotel has a rustic-chic style, in a spectacular area that blends countryside and sea in La Barra, formerly a resort (or farm). The project is imposing, wonderful and totally adapted to the place.
In the winter, only the main venue welcomes guests in its 10 luxury apartments. Can you feel the exclusivity? This is the newest and most charming part of the hotel – it was built less than two years ago – in the summer there are another 20 bungalows near the golf course, where guests ride in electric trolleys. The rooms at the main venue are a dream. It has elegant decor and huge glass windows with a beautiful view of the Uruguayan pampas that you can enjoy lying on the most cozy bed of life. Is there anything better? Ah! And breakfast? In addition to being delicious, it is served on the rooftop, facing the pool, with another splendid view.
Spots to enjoy the hotel are not lacking as it is spread over a gigantic area. The sunset is unforgettable wherever you are, whether on the lake, in the pool, in the sea or walking through the field.
What did you think of the tip? Take advantage of the month of June and surprise your “other half”.
I wish you all a month of June full of love.
