A special makeup to root for Brazil in the Cup, our Camila already brought to you, in a wonderful editorial. And to get even more into the mood, I will tell you what its like in Sochi, the Russian city where our players are concentrated between games.

Until very recently, it was difficult for anyone to know where Sochi was on the map, don’t you agree? It was in 2014 that its name came to the fore when it hosted the Olympic Games. It was already the beginning of preparation for the “Russian Riviera” to be the stage of the 2018 World Cup. The Fisht Stadium that was built for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games is now the training center that hosts the Russian team and will receive six soccer matches during the World Cup. It has the shape of a shell and alludes to the Fabergé Eggs. So Chic!

Sochi is a delightful city between the Caucasus Mountains and the Black Sea, it has sea and mountain. Its vibe is light and the climate much more ameno than in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, for example. It has incredible ski resorts and beaches. Isn’t it perfect?

The center of Sochi is the oldest and most bustling part of the city, it is on the seafront. There is the port, the commercial and the administrative area. Visit the National Park which has the 27 meter high Orekhovsky waterfall, the Botanical Garden, the Summer and Winter Theaters, the City Museum, Stalin’s summer residence and Dagomys Village, where the last Russian czar lived until 1917, Nicholas II. Do you want a hotel tip for staying in this part of town? Hyatt Regency and Radisson Blu.

So it’s time to climb the mountains and go to Krasnaya Polyana and Rosa Khutor. Go by train. Krasnaya Polyana is a super charming village in the final season. Everything there was recently built. If you want to ski the equipment and clothes can be rented at Gornaya Karusel, from where the lifts to the ski stations leave. Marriott Krasnaya Polyana is a good choice. Five hundred meters above is my favorite village, Rosa Khutor. Small, on the banks of a river formed by the melting water of the mountains. A grace! To stay there I suggest the Mercure Rosa Khutor, the Park Inn or the Radisson.

Sochi to me was a beautiful surprise. I really hope it brings good energy, tranquility and good luck to our warriors. May the Hexa come !!!!
