When we talk about the classic cold season palette, the earthy tones are among the darlings of the fashionistas. After all, regardless of the season, the shades are already known for their elegance and modernity, which have been strong since the 1970s. Designer Yves Saint Laurent was one of the great adepts of color and even gave more evidence to brown when he launched the pieces inspired by the safari – one of the symbols that most marked the time.

Today, one of the most explored points of the earthy tones is the mix of tonalities in the same look. Here, Camila showed a cool proposal for the day, playing with overlay of lighter dress and turtle neck knit + purse and dark boots. As for my look, I combined a maxi coat and skirt in different shades, in addition to adding animal print boots to create an elegant contrast and full of personality.

On the catwalks, the fever’s still strong. For Boss’s Fall 2019, the ton sur ton came strong in the encounter of the jacket, turtle neck and skirt with slit detail. The striking finish was the pair of cuissarde boots in a dark leather version with a slight appearance of wear – a texture that is always welcome. In the collection of Italian Max Mara, the croco leather aspect appeared in the maxibag and in the long boots, which transformed the production proposal that works with the monochrome of the coat, sweater and skirt of the same color.

For Akris’ Fall 2019, full brown was explored with the mix of materials. Wool, yarn and leather were the elements of strength for the sophisticated and contemporary look. In Salvatore Ferragamo, the lightness was due to the fine leather pieces that gave grace to the shirt and pants of the same color. On top, the lighter coat was used as a perfect contrast item. Chic!

On American soil, two unusual inspirations. In 3.1 Phillip Lim, a knitwear sweater and side-buttoned skirt were presented with a young, urban look. Meanwhile, Michael Kors invested in the asymmetry and tying of pieces with different proportions and combinations – the mesh extends into the silhouette and the pleated dress gives a super feminine movement.
