A classic mix of prints that is easy to match: Stripes!

The styling trick was adopted by several international brands in the last runway shows with skirts and dresses.

In addition to bicolor compositions – like Marc by Marc Jacobs in Spring 2011 – several masons went for mixture of patterns (horizontal with vertical), as did Balmain and Victoria Beckham, and created super harmonic pieces.

Others such as Gucci and Missoni, chose colorful versions for pleated long and midi skirts.

Contrary to what you might think, skirts in multicolored stripes can definitely create balanced looks and highlight the woman’s body in a positive way. The secret is to do variations in the same color or compose colors which combine among themselves.

We must also be careful in the width of the stripes! If you are wearing a skirt with large stripes and want to match it with another stripe piece, go for thinner versions to bring balance in the right measure!

Here is another tip: thin horizontal stripes are the most versatile and easier to match, as they help to adjust and mold your body.

Choose the pieces you like and invest in this trend that highlight the femininity of women.
