Following the trend alert of white sneakers as a symbol of style and urban comfy, the next shoes that are promised to be a big hit in street style are the white boots!
As I have mentioned before on my blog, white shoes were seen as protagonist for an over the top look – not to mention that, almost always, they were seen as an item to be worn only in the universe of brides and in the health industry.
After the big hit of the sneakers, the white boots started to make its way in the fashion world in 2011 with Alexander McQueen.
But it was not until 2014 that collections such as Fendi
But it was from 2014, with collections like Fendi, that these boots consecrated themselves as a hit trend for upcoming winters.
Since then, white dominated several types of creations: futuristic (matching with metallic pieces, as seen in Cost Barcelona and Giulietta, both of the Fall 2016 season), vintage (bringing a more modern touch to the old fashion style, like Lacoste and Creatures of Wind) or even, as a final touch to unstructured cutout outfits (Akris Resort 2017 and Acnes Studios Fall 2015).
But not always what gains prominence on the catwalks is as easy to adapt to our personal style. This piece is still seen as a no no in the eyes of many!
To leave aside the monochrome and minimalist look, the cool thing is to opt for variation of colors that goes well with white. Although versatile, it becomes the highlight of an outfit when combined with very vibrant tones, creating unfashionable and over the top looks!
To exemplify, I selected 3 looks that I created during the past international fashion seasons with Gloria Coelho’s futuristic boots: grayish patterns, earthy colors and all black.
Choose the colors that matches the most with your skin tone and your style and invest in this trend alert that has conquered the hearts of most fashionistas!
