Velour is back in the fashion realm the last couple of seasons, since then, it follows as desired  material that sets the tone for pieces in the most unusual ways!

A classic and timeless fabric, it can also appear differently and more modern: in addition to being the focus on a piece, the material is also the finishing touch in boots!

The trend focuses on shoes and, therefore, asks for a better balance in the ensemble. Camila chose a black flowy dress leaving the Dries Van Noten boots and purse as the protagonists – in the same shades as the other pieces, harmonizing the elements among themselves.

The Chloé patchwork handbag brought a boho touch in a very sophisticated way.

In spite of being a winter item and having a vintage touch, velour showed its versatility in the runway shows of international brands. Dries Van Noten and Emilio Pucci were some of the households who bet on the fabric as finishing for ankle boots in different shades, as red and purple.

One of the features that makes velour so beloved by designers and fashionistas is the duo color effect. As the light hits the fabric, it is able to change color thanks to the contrast, making any piece much more interesting.

While Roberto Cavalli explored the unusual heels by breaking the conservative side of the boots with medium shafts and going for transparent block heels with appliqué and handmade textures!

The details are responsible for bringing differentiated upgrades and, at the same time, breaking the  serious status that the material holds. The technique incorporates the luxurious scent of the season under an amused look!

Under the gaze of the brand Valentino, the IT shoes gained a more simplified shade. The material appeared in a strip of neutral colors – as the gray and a “wet velour” finish, ensuring the modern effect.

It is amazing to see how a material as traditional as the velvet can be transformed into something completely new and, above all, loaded with fashion information!

It is worth investing in innovative pieces that are able to mesh well with anyones personal style, turning a simple ensemble to a more interesting and fashionable one!

I absolutely love this trend!
