An absolute symbol of elegance, white pants are already emerging as a highlight of summer 2018 in the northern hemisphere. This revival of the 1970s and 1980s, when the piece had more fame among the french resorts and north americans, it resurfaces in various shapes and forms with the endorsement of several brands, exploiting both monotone and bicolor. Here, Camila and I created our looks with modern proposals. She invested in all white with emphasis on ruffles for her top and fitted high waisted pants. I love when details transform completely a one color outfit. In my vision, I also chose ruffles but on the sleeves of the blue top, a perfect partner of the clochard pants.

On the runway, the contrasts are what proves the versatility of the trend. Public School bet on jeans as the right material to create this link with the streets – notice the sneakers! Tibi, one of my favorites, lengthened the silhouette with a blouse + pants with elastic on the waistband and openings on the bottom of the sides with zippers. To cast off, the green blazer was the third chic yet effortless element.

The classic black and white is also a reference for inspiration. There are two seasons, Milly brought the fitted cropped top with open sleeves which ties on each side with looser pants with a sporty vibe. As for Tom Ford, he went with bold and striking tailoring. The focus was on the buttons which are repeated throughout the piece.

The navy of Sportmax gained a new shade for Summer 2017. The large pants ropes to tie around the waist (that resemble those of ships), come into harmony with the mesh top with fish patterns. To contrast with this idea, the fashion world can also bring ultra-feminine and romantic traces – check out Cushnie et Ochs’ pants and the bell sleeve top.

Ready to choose your white bottoms? It’s worth it investing on a good pair that matches well with your style!
