If there is one color that carries elegance and versatility, blue is definitely the perfect option to give that transforming finish to the overall look. This means that, in addition to the monochromatic looks or that elemental piece in navy blue, the final touch can be accessories as well. According to last seasons Summer 2018 runways, the purses are the ideal protagonists to bring all the serenity and sophistication to the looks – in their various forms and combinations, of course.
Here, Camila and I invested in completely different proposals and brought our blue purses to our looks in a modern way. She went for the combo of a voluminous blouse + tweed high waist miniskirt with a slit + a petit blue purse with embossed details. I loved it, cool and girlie at the same time! As for myself, I opted for white tailoring, which resembles the naval uniforms with the final touch of the marine python shoulder bag. The french navy style had a refined harmony between the patches on the jacket and snakeskin leather.
In the collections, the designers were beyond. Anya Hindmarch presented a version in a tone of blue with padding, which brings the DNA of the brand with its textures and fun symbols. As for Michael Kors, the color is more closed off and with interference from white brush strokes for an artsy result.
The college vibe was what Marc Jacobs elected to use for the classic backpack with shorter upper handles and a side pouch. The contrast of the blue with white also refers to the famous versions in high school. On the other hand, Victoria Beckham, with its chic and clean aesthetic, awed us with the small rectangular model and in a lilac shade.
Still in the path of the crossbody purses, Tibi also took the rectangle shape to it’s show, to place in it just a “few and necessary” items for the day to day. As a result of mini bags, Cushnie et Ochs chose the triangular geometry to contrast with the rest of the shape of the shopping purse.
