Bonaire is one of those Caribbean destinations that makes a lot of people sigh just thinking of it. The small island is only 80 kilometers north of Venezuela, has hundreds of flamingos, is off the hurricane route, has pleasant temperature all year round and an outrageously beautiful sea that is a true open-air aquarium. This is exactly why it is among the best diving destinations in the world.

It is part of the so-called ABC Islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao), which is the quietest and least touristy of them. Its main highlight is the fauna and flora of the sea, that is, its treasure is underwater. I can bet that in just one dive, you will fall in love with the island. The bottom of the Bonaire sea is mesmerizing! Colorful fish of all kinds and best of all, far from the sharks. They say that they don’t frequent these waters so much. Amazing!

To enjoy this show of nature, nothing better than staying in a hotel that offers a good structure for you to explore what the island has to offer, the sea. I highly recommend the Harbour Village Bonaire. The hotel is a grace, Dutch-Caribbean style! It has 40 super well decorated and spacious apartments with the Small Luxury Hotels of the World seal, a few steps from the center of Kralendijk, within a super traditional marina on the island. It offers everything you need to safely dive from equipment to classes with excellent instructors. I was very well catered for at the Great Adventure by Chris Ball. She knows everything about diving. She was very kind, gave me the best equipment instructions and the best tips of the island. This is a real luxury. The hotel even has a small private beach with hammocks, a pool and spa. The restaurant La Balandra is delicious and located on a deck that goes into the sea. Super romantic.

Want to know another high point of Bonaire? Its restaurants. I loved the Bras Boer with one of the best cuisines in the Caribbean, La Cantina which also has fresh fish and is also a brewery with a delightful relaxed vibe, Sebastian and Mezze.

Did you like the Bonaire tips? Plenty of diving, good restaurants, year-round sunshine and quiet vibe. And now that the Divi Divi Airlines is connecting São Paulo with Curaçao and connecting to Bonaire, it has become easier to reach paradise. I guarantee you will love it. Definitely add Bonaire to your travel Wishlist, you will not regret it!

XoXo and see you all next week!
