In the last decade, metallic have become so present in the day to day styles. If it was once the classic color of party accessories, believe me, the catwalks and street style turned the game and brought these shades to closer to urban fashion. Among the darlings, which are already considered versatile, is silver. Seen as a futuristic option during the 1960s, the metallic shade gained a modern and elegant personality and was the protagonist of several looks. For example, Camila and I invested in wildcard items to transform our ensembles. While she bet on the cool silver finish overcoat with a cropped top and mid length skirt, I chose a proposal with a certain 90’s comeback. Inspired by the movement of the time, designer Anna Carolina Bassi brought her current and sophisticated look to her new winter collection. In my choice, red devour velvet blazer + metallic twill pantacourt, with a sophisticated touch to be worn from the office look to the night.
Now in the international presentations, a series of references to wear! At Zimmermann, the maxi coat is the key point of the look, also made up of black and white pieces – this is an incredible way to renew the black and white aesthetics. For Balmain, Olivier Rousteing did not skimp on the silver outfit and brought the combo jumpsuit + over the knee boots for an impact on the 2019 summer season.
With a discreet footprint, Each x Other presented silver in its chic and uncomplicated tailoring, showing that even the traditional sets deserve a point of shine. On the opposite side, Tom Ford opted for the whole metallized production – and added a generous dose of glitter on shoes.
Always very elegant, Alberta Ferretti presented a dress with micro pleats, on the sleeves as well as the wrists and skirt. With that effect, the brightness was redoubled according to the movement of the piece. Cushnie explored transparency and asymmetry in a full look. Regardless of style, silver was made for all!
