Working out at home can be a total change of pace if you typically go to a class or train in a gym. The energy of other people is motivating and putting yourself in that environment can instantly change your mindset towards moving your body. So trying to motivate yourself in the comfort of your own home can be challenging to say the least (especially when your cozy couch and Netflix are right there to tempt you). But moving your body even just for a few minutes can boost your mood by releasing endorphins in your brain—we’ve all experienced that euphoric “runner’s high” before. And it’s especially important right now to keep your spirits lifted and mental health in check during these uncertain times.

One of the things that can help put you in the mood to commit to an at-home workout is changing into a good athletic outfit. Trust me, leggings are much more motivating than sweat pants. Just slip into your favorite sports bra, leggings, and sneakers and you’ll instantly feel one step closer to getting your sweat on. There are a few brands that you can always count on to make activewear that’s not only comfortable and moves with you, but also makes you feel cute while doing it. From chic matching sets to cropped sweatshirts to bike shorts, these brands make activewear that will make you actually want to work out.

Alo is the chic activewear brand you’ve probably already seen all over Instagram and if you haven’t tried it yet, it’s worth the hype. The Airlift Leggings are one of their best-sellers for a reason—they lift your booty and make your legs look ultra-long, while also being comfortable enough for any kind of workout.

Nike is as classic as it gets but is still one of the best brands you could choose in terms of performance activewear. Their leggings move with you whether it’s a HIIT workout or meditative yoga, and their sneakers are the top choice of runners everywhere.

Year of Ours offers quality staples with a fashion twist—like lace-up sports bras and color-blocked leggings. They also have the most flattering bike shorts with a V-shaped waistline that feels far from basic.

Free People’s FP Movement line is full of colorful activewear options that are both functional and comfortable—you’ll definitely find yourself lounging around in these well after your workout is finished. Their Prajna Shorts are perfect as we move into the warmer months (and come in 19 color ways!) and the sports bra selection is massive.

We Over Me combines luxuriously soft fabrics with pastel color-blocking to create workout sets you’re going to want to wear on repeat. Their signature Exhale Leggings combines three colors to make the prettiest pair of leggings in the most breathable fabric.

Just because we can’t go to the gym doesn’t mean we can’t get a full workout at home. There are many exercises that we can do that are just as effective as doing them at the gym. Camila and @trainwithdanny have been doing weekly workout Lives on IG that can help us keep in shape while quarantined.  Below is a super abs workout that will help burn all the snacks we’ve been munching on, haha!
