When I think that São Paulo has already surprised me everything it had to … behold I come across the sensational Tangará Palace surrounded by a park of lush vegetation in the heart of the city. A sensational hotel in every way. Elegant, luxurious, quiet, bright, with impeccable service, exquisite decor, sensational restaurant, inviting swimming pools and a super spa. Difficult to imagine that in Marginal Pinheiros, in the Morumbi region there is still a green area like this nestling a small palace.
The Tangará Palace was inaugurated in mid-2017, in Burle Marx Park, in a five-storey building, with a European palace style. It leads a new wave of Sao Paulo hotels of luxury standard and makes the hotel-boutique style (which includes a concept of more exclusivity and sophistication). It has 141 neat accommodations with plenty of natural light and balconies open to the woods with the silhouette of the “stone jungle” of São Paulo in the distance. It is one of those places where you do not want to leave such tranquility.
The pools are beautiful, both the outside surrounded by lots of greenery, like the one of the spa, which is heated and has marble bottom. Amazing. The Flora Spa by Sisley is another high point. The gym is very well equipped. And, children are welcome. In addition, the hotel has several function rooms and a party hall for 500 people that is already well-attended.
Worth to try the restaurants with menu signed by the French chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, who brings in the luggage three Michelin stars. And do not miss the afternoon tea.
The Tangará Palace is the first hotel of the German Oetker Collection to open its doors in Latin America. I have had the privilege of staying at some other hotels in the group, such as the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc Antibes, Eden Rock St. Barth, Lanesborough London and Le Bristol Paris. All exceptional!
Director-General Celso David do Valle circulates around the hotel, attentive to everything that happens and commends with a friendly team that welcomes guests with great kindness and discretion. Impossible not to leave the Tangará Palace.
