The transformational power of makeup is indisputable, but at the same time, with the right products and techniques, it is possible to enhance one’s beauty. Check out some tips below to achieve a natural and highlighted skin with few products!
The first step towards lighter and equally healthy skin is to bet on the right skincare products. And when I say “right”, it goes far beyond brands, but products that are indicated and work for your skin type.
A basic skincare routine consists of the following products: facial cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and sunscreen. To remove any product or impurities, use a good makeup remover. Simple, right?
To build a natural skin, bet on products with lighter and even multifunctional coverage, such as moisturizer with color, creamy eyeshadow that can be used as blush, and lip tint. In addition, try to lighten the high points of the face, such as the temples, the cupid’s bow, the tip of the nose, the top of the eyebrow, and even the inner corner of the eyes. For this, choose a highlighter without color on the background and that has light shiny particles.
For the eyes, choose warmer but subtle shades, such as orange, brown, gold, or even burnt pink, and blend the shadow all over the eyelid. Apply a little bit of mascara and that’s it: rock it, haha!
On the lips, gently exfoliate the area (only once a week, so as not to cause sensitivity or bruising!) and moisturize it. Then you can apply a lip tint, a light creamy lipstick or even a gloss!
Other tips for building natural looking skin:
- Mix a few drops of highlighter into your moisturizer or foundation and apply it with a damp beauty blender/sponge to your face. It will look like the glow of the skin comes from the inside out and it still looks super healthy.
- To maintain a boost in skin hydration, routinely use a face mask at least once a week.
- If you don’t like a super highlighted skin, apply a little pressed powder to the oily areas, such as the forehead, nose, and chin.
- Vitamin C is a powerful ally of the skin and acts as an antioxidant, fighting premature aging, and thus smoothing wrinkles and expression lines.
