Fringes earn new versions with the intention of giving more motion and bringing a decorative touch to the pieces, as seen in recent Fashion Weeks.
In almost every collections, they appeared to highlight some style, not solely to the Boho theme that many times is quickly related to.
Quite the contrary: the style originated from the cowboy mood – and also music festivals. It has been spotted in most romantic clothing and even grunges and dark styles.
Other types of fabrics (and not just suede) have incorporated this trend such as: lamé, knit, and also polyester.
In Elie Saab and Issa’s winter collections, fringes were created as a kind of “branch” from the neck region of the pieces themselves, resembling a grunge rock and dark style.
They have also appeared now as a way of mitigating the effect of styling shorter mini-dresses, now to bring more fluidity to the look – like Proenza Schouler, Nina Ricci, Ioana Ciolacu and Parsons MFA have presented.
Of course the folk and even retro style have not lost their space in this trend, but have been reinvented.
Alberta Ferretti in her hemianopia brand (known by her romantic yet fashion creations) and the Altuzarra by Joseph Altuzarra (famous for feminine clothing and bringing a touch of contemporary sensuality) present perfectly this repagination.
Is adept to the new classic style, combining sophistication (with the jacket by Cris Capoani) to the versatility of street style (in destroyed denim and metallic pumps).
Without a doubt, a classic that emphasizes femininity and elegance of women.
Get inspired, ladies!
