It’s not a secret that I love red lipsticks right?! Regardless of the tone, the red manages to give a super sophisticated and sexy touch which I loveee! The red lipstick is perfect for those days where you are feeling lazy to do your makeup – the secret is to exaggerate on the mascara, do a well done skin and strike out with red lips. For this reason, today I have separated my favorites, the ones I wear the most and wouldn’t trade for anything. Check it out:
1- Russian Red by MAC
This is my favorite red of life! The tone is very similar to Ruby Woo (which is also a very popular Red by Mac), but the Russian Red has a more closed tone, with a pinkish undertone which looks great with my skin tone. Despite being matte, it is not as dull as the Ruby Woo. It is satin and super easy to apply!
2- Carmen by Nars
Super sexy Red, with a very hydrating finish and high pigmentation! I love that it is a more closed tone red as well, which works all year around!
3- Vermelho 2 by Natura Una
I have talked about this one here on the blog a few times. It has a velvety texture that moisturizes and is super longer lasting. The color is super intense, vibrant and very sophisticated. I LOVE IT!
4- Fire Engine by Gerard Cosmetics
I love Gerard Cosmetics Lipstocks, their colors and finishes are amazing – usually matte but very velvety and easy to apply! The Fire Engine is a more soft red, with a guava undertone. Divine shade for summer!
5- Bad Blood by Urban Decay
In spite of this being the most recent in my collection, I am already in love with it! The Bad Blood is a more closed red which is perfect for colder seasons. The color is super sophisticated and every time I wear it, people ask me which lipstick I’m wearing.
