An absolute Hit here in Brazil, knit is one of the characters of democratic fashion. This is so because it can be worn in any occasion and by people of various styles. We can see how Brazilian women dress from north to south – whether seafront, with dresses made from cotton yarn and silk, or in the winter with wefts of wool. In fashion, it is one of the favorites of big brands, such as Italian Missoni, who chose the patterns in knit zig-zag as their main identity. In the streets, fashionistas inspire us with their urban looks, in not so obvious and full of personality combinations.

Here, Camila and I show you versions according to each style. She opted for a dress, by Cecilia Prado, layered in lilac, rich in textures, which works for various times of the day. See how the belt and the boot are transformers and left the ensemble powerful enough to wear at night. And for a more relaxed stroll? It is worth investing in flats to give a casual touch. As for my look, all by Cecilia Prado, I arranged several pieces in knit for a more stylish and lightweight proposal. Starting with the bulky skirt with ruffles, which is ideal to disguise the hip and lengthens the silhouette. On top, I chose a sleeveless turtleneck and a shawl with fringes – it also comes with sleeves. On my feet I went for floral mules by Olympiah for Paula Torres.

In the collections, for those who follow fashion, know that knit was not the preferred proposal among designers. However, fortunately, the game has changed and the brands are bringing amazing versions for the runways. Balmain invested in sensuality, with transparencies and lots of lurex. As for Sonia Rykiel,  the cool and modern side of combinations between thicker strands and in different types of points (some more closed, as in the striped coat).

In Missoni, its traditional manual technique gains even more prominence in completely knitted looks. The mixture of geometric motifs and metallic materials is one of the wishes of consumers of the label. Take not on the overlays in the turtleneck sweater and elongated cardigan matching the color cards. It looks so beautiful! The sets are repeated in Prada’s  winter collection with hints of pastel and dark colors, which give a retro touch to the coat and straight skirt combo.

The comfy knit also shows its face in ultra-sophisticated combinations. The sweater was the protagonist of monochrome looks of Jil Sander and Dior. At first, it came in maxi and asymmetrical styles with aesthetics inspired by the style of the French. I loved this mix of textures of the skirts and the leather boots. The encounter between the shades of blue was the choice of Maria Grazia Chiuri, who created a contrast of materials investing in tule with layers as ideal companion of super feminine looks.

A multitude of combinations! Its so good to have a series of references, from street style to looks we see on the runways, to inspire us even more.
