I moved from Brazil to the United States when I was 14 years old. I decided to start a beauty YouTube channel to provide beauty tips for friends that would ask for my advice on getting the perfect makeup look.
I fell in love with makeup when I worked in makeup sales at a department store, and slowly started working as an independent makeup artist for friends, weddings, and other milestone life events.
I didn’t initially have the courage to start my own YouTube beauty series, but with support from friends and family, I gathered up the courage with a handheld video camera and just started filming. The momentum gained as my friends liked and shared the videos, and then I was further inspired to create a blog to talk more about beauty trends and tips, and that is when the whole influencer role took off!
I saw what was possible in pursuing my dream, and you can too.
