With everything going on in the world right now, many of us are searching for ways to help support the Black community and amplify Black voices. Protesting, signing petitions, calling your representatives demanding change, and donating to organizations that support the Black community are all amazing ways to stand in solidarity. Another way to help is by buying from Black-owned businesses, if you have the means to do so, and if you don’t you can always support them on social media—follow the brand, engage with their content, and share their account with your friends and followers to bring awareness and encourage others who do have the means to shop.
We’re going to be spotlighting businesses in the fashion and beauty space this week, with this post focused specifically on beauty brands. Black culture has informed and inspired the beauty space for decades and these brands deserve our support today and everyday moving forward. From natural skincare products to glamorous makeup lines, below are some beautiful Black-owned brands to support and love.
