If there is one destination that pleases all tribes with ease, I dare say it goes by the name of “Maldives”! And if your moment moves between serenity, romance, sustainability, luxury, minimalism, and shades of blue, then Hurawalhi is just the place for you.

The elegant resort was born two years ago on a tiny island north of the Lhaviyani atoll in the Maldives. If the island is small, the project is grandiose. Suffice it to say that the signature is Yuji Yamazaki, an architect known for minimalist features and the luxury of the essential.

Airy environments, very high ceilings, comfort, and nature in harmony. Wherever you look, the deep blue of the Maldives sets the tone. The island is surrounded by a coral belt that colors the soul. In fact, it is exactly in one of the many curves of the island that Hurawalhi’s main icon, the 5.8 Undersea restaurant, is hidden underwater. Having lunch or dinner surrounded by fish everywhere makes the trip worthwhile. Did you know that many weddings are celebrated there? At the bottom of the sea? Just imagine the magic.

Hurawalhi is a super romantic destination intended for adults only. It has only 90 villas spread along the beach or on the water, decorated in soft tones. Spacious and airy environments. Both the rooms and the bathrooms open onto the Indian Ocean. One of those details that make a difference.

The atoll where the hotel is located, is a 40-minute seaplane ride from the capital Male. It is considered one of the best spots in the Maldives for snorkeling and spotting manta rays. To support guests in their deep-sea adventures, Hurawalhi has a Marine Biology center and good facilities for water sports. No one is bored if they don’t want to be.

Other highlights are the Dream Island sandbar that can be booked exclusively for you, the Duniye Spa strategically positioned on the oceanfront, the Kashibo and Canneli restaurants for international cuisine with Asian influence, and the delicious Champagne Pavillion to enjoy that sunset!

Hurawalhi was one of the hotels with the best hygiene policy against Covid-19 out of the eight I visited this year in the Maldives. Staff very aligned and concerned with keeping guests and staff safe. Very good application and medical staff available.

Take great care of yourselves. All this will pass and we will come out stronger.
