Hello!

A lot of people are already thinking of nice places to spend New Years. What about Europe? Do you like the idea? Italy in particular has an incredible vibe this time of year. I’ve spent a few New Years there and a place that I will never forget was Venice. The city itself is already such a charm. It has that unique romantic and mysterious sensation. It was built on several islands and sand banks. Walking through its narrow streets linked by numerous bridges is such a delight. There are no cars there, just boats and gondolas that can circulate the area. This makes Venice so unique! It’s incredible.

On New Year’s Eve, the meeting point is the Piazza San Marco, considered one of the most beautiful squares in the world. It is grandiose, impressive, and huge. It’s there that people gather to toast with “Bellini” the year that arrives – a typical Venetian cuisine drink made of prosecco and peach juice. The drink is distributed in the square for free during the New Year’s Eve, because it is the registered trademark of the city. In addition, people wear masks and the square turns into a great party. Fireworks fill the sky and the animation takes place. It really is magical!

For an unforgettable stay, I suggest the fantastic Aman Canal Grande Venice, a few steps from the Rialto Bridge, which in addition to being amazing, it is super well located. I am sure that your New Years will be unforgettable, as said by the writer Henry James: “a visit to Venice is the beginning of an eternal love affair”.

XoXo and until next Tuesday, when I will be arriving once again to my beloved Italy!  Follow my journey through the Instagram @BlogViajarPeloMundo.
