In a hidden corner of Praia do Preá, next to Jericoacoara National Park, a family of French doctors planted their dreams in Ceará. They came to Brazil with their three children, in search of good winds, driven by a passion: kite surfing. The dream soon became a reality when Preabeach Villas came to life, bringing together the warmth of exclusive accommodation, foot in the sand, the luxury of French-accented hospitality and an excellent kiteboarding school, North-kiteboarding.

Two of the couple’s three children, raised in the Land of the Wind, are world kite champions. The third one is not yet for a matter of time, as he/se is still too small. It is worth remembering that in 2024, at the Paris Olympic Games, there will be the “foil” modality.

But back to Preabeach Villas. What a special place. What a refuge! A very elegant boutique hotel that values sustainability. It has only seven accommodations of different styles, from villas with two bedrooms, suites with rooftop and a house with a private pool, in front of the iconic stones of Preá, where there is a natural swimming pool that can be enjoyed at low tide.

About the gastronomy, being the “French” owners… you can already have an idea of what is to come. The restaurant offers Brazilian cuisine, with fresh local products, but has that French touch. Highlight for dessert: profiteroles. Delicious!

Another highlight of Preabeach Vilas is the L’Occitane Spa. The treatments are amazing, with products that everyone already knows and loves. The masseuses are very good. And for those who practice kite, a good massage is essential.

At the end of the day, enjoy the sunset from a cabanna, in the pool in front of the sea, with the colorful kites as a supporting element. Simply unforgettable.

If you have never practiced kite, this is the ideal place to learn, as the whole family is from the kite tribe. They are friendly and happy to share their experience in the sport. The instructors at the North-kiteboarding school are excellent. From July to December, winds usually vary from 20 to 30 km/h. In other months the wind calms down. The best time to come to Preá is up to you.

Good winds to all.

XoXo and see you next Tuesday.
