Another challenging year is coming to an end. It’s a reflective time that calls for a celebration with family and the people we care about. I am a long-time fan of the Aman Group, and I am going to tell you about three hotels in the Americas that will be hosting events connecting traditions from around the world to celebrate the holidays.
AMANERA – DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
One of the most exclusive hotels in the Caribbean, surrounded by the golden sands of Playa Grande in the Dominican Republic, is the Amanera. It will have a themed program from December 18th to January 2nd inspired by the tropical world that includes a night dedicated to local culture and the setting up of a Wishing Tree in the lobby with the intention of helping a local retirement home. There will also be an evening dedicated to the charms of Asian cuisine to honor sister properties Amanoi (Vietnam), Amanpulo (Philippines), and Amanpuri (Thailand). And to celebrate the opening of Aman New York, a New Year’s Eve party will be held with an exclusive Studio 54 theme, including a DJ and fireworks display on the beach.
AMANYARA – TURKS & CAICOS
My super love on Providenciales Island is for sure the Amanyara. A beautiful hotel with sophisticated facilities spread over two beaches so blue they are blinding to the eye. The festive calendar will include daily activities from December 20th to January 2nd, including cooking classes by the resort’s chefs, outdoor movie nights, a Pickleball tournament, a Christmas pool party with Santa arriving on the beach, and a New Year’s Eve party.
AMANGIRI – UNITED STATES
In the incredible Utah Desert, the Amangiri works closely with the surrounding communities. For this reason, it will offer rugs produced by seniors while a local artist will be imbued to weave a blanket made within the Navajo tradition in the hotel’s main pavilion. In addition, the daily schedule will be intense with sunrise yoga, a hike in the mountains, a cocktail party at sunset, and evenings with live music. The large Christmas Tree handcrafted from sustainable fibers will be another highlight of Amangiri.
Now what? Which one to choose? The date deserves to be very well celebrated this year.
