Chile is back. A country so diverse and so beautiful that it deserves many comings and goings to be tasted without haste. From the charming capital city of Santiago de Chile surrounded by wonderful vineyards to the glaciers of Patagonia, from the mysteries of Easter Island to the fabulous Atacama desert, everything is enchanting, whether in winter or summer. A perfect destination to be enjoyed at any time of the year.

Santiago de Chile is usually the gateway to the country. And this door can lead to surprising paths. I bring to you two unmissable tips. The first one is the Magnolia Hotel, which has just reopened with a focus on high luxury and attention to the smallest details. A place where the simple becomes exceptional and where the initial connection marks the lodging as unique. After a careful design overhaul, the historic 1929 mansion that houses the Magnolia is guaranteed to exceed guests’ expectations. Its 41 guest rooms are custom-designed and served by a restaurant with outstanding cuisine, fitness center, cafe, and a beautiful rooftop bar with spectacular views of the city. The Magnolia Hotel promises to surprise!

Now hit the road and in just over an hour you will be at Matetic winery. This is my second tip today for Chile. It is located in the Rosario Valley, which encompasses part of the Casablanca and San Antonio valleys. You can choose to visit the organic vineyards, taste four wines, two from Matetic’s entry line, Corralillo, and two from the premium EQ line, and have lunch at the Equilibrio restaurant or stay at the sophisticated La Casona boutique hotel that It has 10 spacious accommodations in a farmhouse. This way you will have more tranquility to enjoy the atmosphere of the region on bike rides, hikes, horseback rides, and you can go to the city of Valparaíso or to Pablo Neruda’s iconic house in Isla Negra.

Did you like today’s tips? Magnolia and Matetic make a nice double in Chile.

Cheers to the good times in life and see you next week.
